aespa is topping charts and breaking records across the globe with the release of their 3rd mini album "MY WORLD".
aespa made their highly anticipated comeback on May 8 at 6pm KST (7pm AEST) with album "MY WORLD" and title track Spicy.
The album broke the Kpop girl group record for the most first-day album sales, recording over 1.3 million copies sold within the first 24 hours.
aespa is only the third Kpop girl group to surpass 1 million first day sales, and now holds the record for the girl group with the most first day sales in Kpop history.
Following the release of "MY WORLD", aespa is also topping music charts around the world.
"MY WORLD" has charted at No.1 on the iTunes album chart in over 20 regions, including Japan, Singapore, Brazil and Thailand.
The album also reached a high of No.4 on the Australian iTunes chart after its release, and Spicy has peaked at #4 on YouTube Trending in Australia.
Title track Spicy has also performed incredibly well, receiving over 20 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours.
Prior to the release of "MY WORLD", aespa also broke their personal record for pre-orders, with over 1.8 million units sold, and setting the record for the second highest pre-order number in Kpop girl group history.
Anticipation for aespa's comeback was incredibly high after almost a year since the release of their second mini album "Girls" in 2022.
The success of their previous tracks, from their debut Black Mamba, Next Level, Savage and Girls, aespa have truly carved a space for themselves in the Kpop girl group sphere, which they continue to prove with releases like "MY WORLD" and Spicy.
Ahead of the release of "MY WORLD", the group also dropped their single Welcome To MY World, which has racked up over 15 million views on YouTube.
Within only days of release, "MY WORLD" has broken numerous records, solidifying aespa as a major group in the Kpop industry.
