CHRIS LEE, FORMER CEO OF SM ENTERTAINMENT, ANNOUNCED AS SPEAKER AT SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST SYDNEY

On May 4, it was officially revealed that Chris Lee (Sung-su Lee) will be attending Sydney’s SXSW in October as a featured speaker.

The South By Southwest (SXSW) music conference will be held in Sydney in 2023, marking the festival’s first staging outside of the US, boasting former SM Entertainment CEO Chris Lee as a featured speaker.


Chris Lee is currently acting as the Chief A&R Officer of SM Entertainment, and has recently been named as one of Billboard’s International Power Players for the second year in a row.


Lee has been credited with popularising many of SM’s legendary artists, including SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, and more.


SXSW is one of America’s most popular annual music events, and for the first time it will be held outside of the US in 2023.


From October 15-22 2023, SXSW will be held in Sydney, Australia, and is set to become an annual event Down-Under.


SXSW brings together professionals and amateurs in all fields of music, technology, screen and gaming for a week of performances, panels, and parties.


There will be more than 1,000 sessions throughout the festival, which will be available for anyone to attend.


Chris Lee will be a special featured guest at the festival, and his sessions will be an event not to be missed!
