WayV returns with their highly anticipated sophomore album On My Youth – The 2nd Album. The 10-track album is available now via music streaming sites (iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and more) and the physical version will be released on November 8. Listen HERE.
Opening with the album’s title track “On My Youth,” which has both Chinese and English versions, WayV delivers a bittersweet mid-tempo ballad reflecting on the regrets of a lost love while blending classical elements with hip-hop beats. Watch the music video HERE.
The more confident, up-tempo sides of the album are highlighted by “Poppin’ Love,” where WayV channels Y2K dance-pop melodies, and “RODEO,” a slick rap track propelled by a bass-heavy house beat, performed by the group’s rap unit: WINWIN, HENDERY and YANGYANG.
Inspiring themes of overcoming hardships ring loud on “Ain’t No Thang” – a dance-pop track powered by bouncy, synth chords – and “INVINCIBLE,” a big-beat and synth-laden celebration of staying strong in the face of adversity, which, sung almost entirely in English, is assured to be a favorite.
Tender moments shine on “No One But You” – a romantic, acoustic guitar-led pop mid-tempo telling the story of sweet memories of everyday life with a loved one – which is sonically contrasted by “Moonlight,” a dramatic fusion of rap and dreamy R&B vocals accompanied by orchestral strings.
The delicate piano ballad “Lighthouse” – featuring WayV’s vocal unit: KUN, TEN and XIAOJUN – expresses a yearning for love. KUN also co-wrote the lyrics on “Be Alright”, the group’s song dedication to fans and themselves, assuring everyone that “you don’t have to walk this lonely road… we gon be alright”.
On My Youth arrives almost a year after their fourth EP Phantom, which set them up for their first-ever U.S. performance at KCON LA in August, performing to thousands of fans at the iconic Crypto.com Arena. The past four years have seen WayV establish themselves as a unique and respected group with an exceptional performance style. This album is a testament to these years of development, as well as their ambition, drive and creative gift as a group.
WayV’s previous full-length album Awaken The World – The 1st Album, peaked at number nine on Billboard’s US World Albums Chart. “Turn Back Time,” the album’s title track, reached number twelve on the World Digital Song Sales Chart.

ABOUT WayV:
WayV, the China-based sub-group of NCT, debuted in January 2019 with The Vision – The 1st Digital EP. All three tracks placed within the top ten on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart, including lead single “Regular,” the Chinese version of NCT 127’s hit song. The group splits their time between China and Korea, focusing on the Mandarin-speaking market but also participating in events typically associated with the K-pop industry. The group’s sound encompasses all genres including hip-hop, rock-inflected dance tracks, R&B and pop. Visually, the group uses cinematic music videos featuring rich plotlines as WayV expand upon their own universe.
The group has regularly seen chart success on Billboard charts, despite the group never promoting in the United States until this year. The group’s first extended play release, Take Off – The 1st Mini Album, peaked at number seven on the World Albums Chart. It also charted at #1 on iTunes album chart in 30 regions. The group made their Heatseekers Albums chart debut with their second mini album, Take Over The Moon. This album included fan-favorite single, “Love Talk,” which the group released in English shortly after. The English version debuted and peaked at #3 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The group’s first full album, Awaken The World, peaked at #9 on the World Albums Chart. Title track “Turn Back Time” reached #12 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart.
Following the success of the group’s first full-length album, WayV released their third mini album Kick Back in March 2021, marking No. 1 on China’s QQ Music chart and iTunes Top Albums Chart in 25 countries. The group then followed with their fourth mini album Phantom in December 2022 before starting off their ‘2023 WayV Fanmeeting Tour [Phantom]’ in February 2023. With stops across Seoul, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and France, the tour proved their international popularity once again.
WayV recently made their U.S. live debut at KCON LA in August, performing to thousands of fans at the iconic Crypto.com Arena.
